Dr. Shawn is the owner of Montclair Performance Health & Chiropractic, LLC. He is also an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Health Science at York College – CUNY’s School of Health and Behavioral Science, and and also currently serves as an adjunct instructor at William & Paterson University's Department of Kinesiology. Dr. Williams earned his Bachelors of Science (Biology) from the College of Staten Island (2000), his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College (2004) and his PhD in Health Science from Seton Hall University (2013). Additionally Dr. Williams has obtained sub-specialty certifications in Functional Medicine, Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Clinical Biomechanics of Posture and Chiropractic Pediatrics.
His clinical and scholarly works are in the area of public health and health promotion/prevention - and his interests include theoretical contributions to regeneration medicine and examining the role of chiropractic and complementary/alternative healthcare within the larger health care system (organization, financing, utilization, practice/provision, policy).
Dr. Williams lives, breathes, sleeps and eats distance running. He is an elite runner with years of experience both as an athlete and a coach. As an elite athlete, clinician and scientist, Dr. Shawn offers a unique approach to performance enhancement and injury prevention.
